In 1948 the Frantoio Ferraro was born. It all began when grandfather Nicola moved to Montechiaro, a charming fraction of the Municipality of Vico Equense in the province of Naples
where he took over a farm with about two hectares of olive groves, hence the need to install a small oil mill for processing his own olives.
In 1952, his son Vincenzo, to satisfy the ever-increasing requests of his farmer friends, decided to build a more modern plant with greater production capacity, an oil mill which for about 26 years remained the constant point of reference for his farmer friends, who shared with him the passion for good oil.
In 1978, tired of a long life of hard work dedicated exclusively to the work and satisfaction of his customers, he decided, in the certainty of continuity, to pass the hand on to his children, and in particular he found his same passion in his son Nicola.
So Nicola carries on the tradition and in 1993 with his young wife Pia and his young family who share his choice of continuity with him, he modernizes the plant, meeting the growing qualitative demands of his customers.
Today the Frantoio Ferraro, in compliance with the principles that gave birth to the activity, continues to favor the quality of its production, through a check on the field, the olives are carefully selected with constant control by experts and harvested by hand at the right point of ripeness . The processing of the olives takes place with an integral continuous cold cycle system, which guarantees and enhances the organoleptic characteristics of the oil. The oil is subjected to analysis to ascertain the degree of acidity and peroxides.
